Few things in my life have brought me as much joy as travelling. It all began as a simple hobby and a means of entertainment (and it still is…), but over time, I have got myself in a position to inspire and influence others to travel. The journey from being just a traveler to being a recognized travel guide has been nothing short of fascinating. Hence, I would like to give you some insights drawn from my personal experiences.
First and foremost, planning your journey in advance is always essential. While I’ve enjoyed a whole bunch of happiness from sudden excursions, I still prefer some level of preparation before setting out for a trip. In many cases, when you’re out on your adventure, it always involves expenses. The more research and planning you do, the better you can manage your costs. Google has always been my best guide.
My approach to travelling plans always involves searching for tourist attractions online and comparing the information from multiple websites beforehand. The Internet is an invaluable tool for budget planning. Although I think the real-life costs and scenarios can sometimes differ from what’s found online, I still believe that researchabout in advance is crucial.
Travel vlogs and video guides are exciting ways of getting insights into specific destinations. I’ve been an avid follower, drawing motivation from these videos for quite some time. Additionally, I take a detailed look at the terrain to understand the layout of a place by using Google Maps to plan my trip, including posts & photos shared on Facebook and Instagram who visited the same destination.
Not to mention, I’ve also found it helpful to connect with someone who is a native of the destination I’m planning to visit. It’s been customary for me to consult my friends and acquaintances who work in reputed travel agencies. However, gaining firsthand insights about a location directly from someone who has already visited it brings additional benefits.
My final approach is to remain flexible and adapt new plans by better understanding the scenario while travelling. While I practice following my intuition, I also prioritize careful decision-making. I take my budget planning seriously. I must tell you this: do thorough research as much as possible, plan your journey, and try to balance what your heart feels and your brain thinks. You would love the experiences and save yourself from unnecessary hassles.
While being on a trip, I prefer staying healthy. Often, you travel to places where your body may not suit the surroundings, so it’s wise to carry essential medications for tackling potential physical conditions. As I’ve mentioned earlier, planning comes in handy. I understand the importance of physical exercise, and before going out on any journey, I usually prepare my body better than usual. A high level of fitness not only enhances endurance in tackling rugged terrains effectively but also equips your body to fight diseases easily and retain stamina.
During my travels, I practice maintaining a balanced diet. If I indulge in a heavy feast, I compensate for it by consuming lighter food in the next meal. Also, I keep my stomach partly empty to save myself from the urge of frequent restroom visits. I maintain personal hygiene as much as possible, and controlling my diet always plays a significant role.
I highly appreciate meeting new people and understanding the local way of life wherever I go. Thus, I communicate with the locals worldwide and make friends. We have developed a habit of staying up late at night in today’s fast-paced world. However, while travelling, I try to sleep early to wake up early to experience the essence of the place at maximum.

Language can be a barrier in certain places. For example, I found it challenging while I was in China for over a week-long tour. I came to understand that human beings can communicate with each other even without knowing each other’s languages. I spoke to many Chinese people through sign language and sometimes took help from translator apps. Communicating that way was fun and taught me some great lessons, too.

Food can be a challenge. Many religions have placed certain restrictions on food, and I, from a Muslim background, have struggled in certain places but never faltered. What I’ve noticed is even with certain conditions, there are always other options to choose from while having a meal. You only need to have an open-mindedness in your character and an intention to adapt to a foreign culture. You can still enjoy local cuisine by respecting your own religious culture.

Another thing that I practice while travelling is being serious about time management. You can never travel within the boundaries of a specific place for an eternity, and it’s best to allocate precise time limits when visiting sites. I have always considered a tour highly fulfilling when I’ve checked all the locations as planned and maintained the time allocations properly.
My journey of travelling the world started with my family, who love to explore. But I’ve found the greatest joy in travelling solo. For a long time, I practiced backpacking and visiting places alone. The adventures I’ve experienced while spending more time with locals are memorable. I got lost in place a few times and found my way back, which was thrilling. I have faced a few wild encounters which were terrifying and memorable at the same time. Even while travelling solo, I found out that I was seldom alone. I instead made new friends and had good times with them.
These days, I travel not just for passion but for profession too. Things have changed! I plan a trip efficiently and set out for it in such a way that I’m confident enough throughout the whole time to express my insights and guide my viewers to take that journey. I don’t backpack anymore, although I try to curtail expenses as much as possible. However, when I look back to my days of travel from childhood, I cherish all the memories and experiences achieved throughout the years. I can tell you that everyone has different priorities while they journey, and they change throughout the years, too. I want to tell the readers that you should travel as much as possible to find new meaning in life. Sometimes, connecting with the nature and culture of certain places opens new doors in life. It can be very refreshing if you experience an excellent tour.
