In celebration of World Tourism Day 2021, the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, in collaboration with the Leading University Tourist Club (LUTC), proudly organized the LUTC Writing Competition 2021. This nationwide event aimed to serve as a platform for discovering and developing writing talents focused on the tourism industry and its dynamic future.
✍️ Objective:
The competition encouraged students from colleges and universities across Bangladesh to share their insightful, analytical, and visionary ideas related to tourism — especially as the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
📚 Competition Format:
Eligibility:
- Level 1: Undergraduate and postgraduate students of Bangladesh
- Level 2: College students of Bangladesh
Language: English
Word Limit:
- Level 1: 700–1200 words
- Level 2: 500–800 words
Preferred Writing Areas:
- Emerging Tourism Trends
- Post-Pandemic Possibilities of Tourism
- Rejuvenation of Tourism Attractions
- Tourism for Inclusive Growth

📌 Rules:
- Only one entry per person
- Original and unaided work only (plagiarism up to 15% acceptable)
- Include participant’s name, contact number, institution, and department
- LUTC holds the right to publish submitted works and disqualify inappropriate entries

A panel of honorable judges selected the top 3 winners from each level.
